Start with the details you have
Whether you are an attorney, lender, agent, buyer or seller, keep your first message focused on the property and the help you are seeking. Include these details where available:
- Your name, preferred contact details and role in the transaction.
- The property address and New York county, if known.
- Whether the transaction is a purchase or refinance, and whether the property is residential or commercial.
- The title services you are asking about, or the question you would like answered.
- Any target date, clearly identified as a requested date rather than a confirmed appointment.
Keep the first message simple
For example: “I am an attorney coordinating a residential purchase in Albany County. I would like to discuss title search and insurance services. The proposed closing is next month. Please let me know what information you need to confirm the scope.”
If you are not sure which service to request, explain what you are trying to arrange. You can leave unknown details out and discuss them with the team.
Save confidential documents for later
Do not include Social Security numbers, bank information, identity documents, confidential contracts or transaction attachments in your initial inquiry. Ask the team how any required documents should be provided before sending them.
The website provides phone and email contact details. It is not a document-upload portal.
Confirm the work before proceeding
SAS Title’s next step is to discuss the services and information your transaction requires. Ask the team to confirm the scope, timing and applicable charges, and identify any details still needed.
An inquiry is the start of a conversation. It does not confirm that a title order has been accepted, that a closing is scheduled or that work will be completed by a particular date.
